Bike Taupo runner up at Volunteer Awards

Taupo's Mayor Rick Cooper, Richard Balm and Pete Masters have represented Taupo Volunteers at the Trustpower National Comunity Awards in Wanaka. "The Awards are about celebrating volunteers and the tremendous amount of work they do in our communities."

So a big  THANK YOU to everyone who helped and are still helping to put Taupo on the map for Biking! Our MTB track system is outstanding in popularity and quality.

Still, there is work ahead: Our next big  project is to make the town one of the most cycle friendly places in NZ for everyone, from school kids to comuters. - Are you keen to help ?

March 2008

Hello everyone,

"Skunk works" have been at it again and you can now ride The Great Wall of Wairakei in the skills area (Photo at the end). We just have one (may be two) more brain testers to put in that area.

The new See Saw on the Luge seems to be testing people as well, good to hear that riders are checking it out before taking it on. It is no higher but is very steep and longer - Check out the videos (sm or large)
