The Taupo Mountain Bike Club runs frequent events in Wairakei Forest, open to everyone.  The events are always well managed and good fun, entry fees are low, and thanks to our great local sponsors, the events are always good value.  And there is something for everyone - you don't have to be a "boy racer".  Our Summer Evening Handicap Series is a great way to start, good fun and social, and you have a chance to improve your handicap.  The Craters Classic is a more serious cross country event, with long and short course options.  Then there are Teams Races, Thursday night Night-Rides, and more.
A large part of any profit made by the Club goes to Bike Taupo, for maintenance and development of MTB tracks in Wairakei Forest.  And aren't those tracks great - flowing singletrack with a pumice all-weather surface.
