Kids Bike Taupō Xmas Holiday update.
A big thank you for an amazing year of Kids BT Sessions!
As the year comes to a close, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to every family, child, and supporter who has been part of our Kids Bike Taupō sessions in 2024. It’s been a truly fantastic year, filled with laughter, learning, and lots of riding!
This year, we’ve seen some incredible milestones:
10,585 'rides' on our bikes!
318 children taking their very first ride on two wheels!
These numbers represent not just statistics but the countless smiles, wobbly starts, and proud moments that make what we do so rewarding.
Join us for our Final session of the year!
We’ll be wrapping up the year with our final 3:30 PM session at Craters on Christmas Eve. Let’s celebrate together! Bring a picnic and stick around afterward to avoid the holiday rush and enjoy some relaxed family time in the beautiful outdoors.
Back in action Monday January 13th, 2025 at the BMX Club.
After a short break, we’ll kick off another exciting year of riding, learning, and fun. Mark your calendars for January 4th, 2025—our first session of the new year.
Note: There are no KBT session on any public holidays throughout the year.
More Than Just Rides
Beyond the sessions, our impact extends further into the community:
The Community Bike Shed and Reapur Café have hosted plenty of bike repairs and rehoused many bikes. We estimate about 8 bike-free repairs per month—not bad for a small operation!
The Kids Bike Taupō fleet and helmets play a big role in supporting the Pedal Safe Team in schools. A special shoutout to Phil, who keeps everything in top shape for a modest retainer from Bike Taupō.
This year has been a true team effort, and none of this would be possible without your participation and support. Here’s to more milestones, adventures, and happy memories in 2025!
