Tails from our trails…
It feels as if the tools have had dam good workout this summer and so here’s a recap of all the recent work by some of our dedicated, hardworking volunteers who often work away quietly in the background day after day, to make Craters Mountain Bike Park the awesome place it is.
It’s a community of people that make it all happen from trail sponsors, partners, staff, volunteers and our Bike Taupō members.
So here’s just a little recap on where our busy trail crews have been working.
OUTBACK - WOW!
Outback is all finished. Great work team and thank you again!
Please note: Road access to Outback is no longer an option as the trail has changed.
MR & MRS - Putting in ‘fun’ back into SH FUN. MEGALICIOUS having a BIG upgrade.
DEBS UP & DEBS DOWN getting lots of love! The crew have tidied up a few corners and widened it in a few places.
We have completed another new trail that starts at managers corner and ends at QLine Rd.
There is no longer any need to ride down the road to exit the park.
Good for you guys and good for the truckers!
Currently the track has no name but we’ll let you know when we know!
For now, ride safe and enjoy.
We tend to refer to our volunteers, trail supporters and sponsors as just 'good buggers' but in this case, it's the 'old farts' a great group of people who are always helping improve and maintain our trails.
Who doesn't love a good rest stop and especially one with a view like this.
Thanks guys for giving us a place to rest our backsides and enjoy the view.
Dier Straights getting an awesome makeover!
The track is much improved due to the efforts put in by our volunteers
Huge thanks to Paul from dpa Chartered Accountants Kevin from Ravenco Chartered Accountants, Ian Issacs from Eye Spy Wines, Peter Cook from Peter Cook Design, Steven Bonnet and Trail Builder George Crawford.
Thanks to our trail sponsors Chris and Sandy Todd from Todd Land Development Thank you for your mahi team!
