Kids Bike Taupo Update - December 2022

Well it wouldn’t be Xmas without a Santa Parade! It was a pretty special day with an enthusiastic group of children and adults riding between the Track Crew van and Ricky Biker.  Jasper, the dog, was very keen to come with Lynette when she picked up Bruce's van.  We could have done with him actually, because we were well 'out dogged' with the Civil Defence truck following us.  They had their Search and Rescue dog on the roof of the truck in full harness and even dog goggles.

Thank you to the BMX Club for joining us and to Sarah and Susan from Pedal Safe which is the TDC Road Safety programme, and to all the children and their adults.  It is always great to promote bikes in town.

The year has been full, as always.  Never enough hours in the day … There was a noticeable drop in the number of kids being able to ride with a tough year of bugs floating about.

We are very excited about the developments in Crown Park. The generous donation from a local family paid for the new asphalt pump track, which will be officially opened soon!  The little roadway is being rebuilt and Bike Taupo is going to put in a mountain bike track/link from Kiddle Drive to Invergarry Road with funding from Alterno Foundation, Assmus and Tauhara College.  Carparks, water and shade are all in the plan too.  With the Greening Taupo planting in Crown Park too, the whole area is going to be a great place for our local people.

The Kids Bike Taupo sessions will continue to run until 22 December 2022 and then back again from 9th January 2023.

Sessions run from 3.30pm to 5pm Monday's at the BMX Track, Tuesdays at Spa Park & Thursday at Craters.

If you are visiting Taupo for the holidays, kids are welcome to borrow a bike over the holidays for a koha

Thank you to everyone who has supported Kids Bike Taupo in 2022

Pedal on into 2023!

Merry Xmas from Cath

Kim Manunui

Hi, I’m Kim and I work with a great team to help individuals, as well as small and not so small businesses get their message, product and services to the world using digital media and creating wonderful websites that don’t cost the earth.

I was born in Canada, and grew up around Vancouver and the mountains of British Columbia. My love of pristine environments led me to New Zealand and eventually to the mountains, lakes and rivers of the central North Island which is home. My family’s heritage is here, and it’s from here that Korio traverses the planet.

The digital world is never static and neither are we.

And I say ‘we’ because I work with an awesome group of talented people who I gather together as required to complete a project.  Whatever your business, not-for-profit or individual needs are we gather the best team to get the job done.

Collaboratively we are creative, share sustainable values and work hard for great outcomes because that’s the buzz of satisfaction that drives us.

If you have an audience and market to reach, we can make that happen. Creative design, words that work and smart behind the scenes stuff that cuts through the online noise. We’ll design your website and then build it. We’ll manage the content as well as all your hosting needs. We can handle your online advertising so you get noticed,
and we’ll manage your social media presence so you get the clicks, likes and engagement to grow your business. All within the budget you set, because none of this needs to cost the earth.  And the job doesn’t stop when your website goes live. We are your virtual business partner.
