ECONOMIC IMPACT REPORT FOR OFF-ROAD BIKING IN TAUPO DISTRICT

Bike Taupō, in collaboration with the Taupō District Council, Amplify and Destination Great Lake Taupō, is pleased to announce the release of a comprehensive report that examines the impact of off-road biking within the Taupō District. The report, which was prepared by Wellington based firm Angus and Associates, sheds light on the significant economic and wider benefits generated by off-road recreational cycling and highlights its contribution to the region's prosperity.

Craters MTB Park Update

Bike Taupō have been fortunate enough to have had some access to park and have been quietly working away at clearing tracks that will not be logged, but have trees lying over them. This in itself is a huge job as some tracks have anywhere between 50 to 100 trees over them.

Kids Bike Taupō Update

The Kids Bike Taupō programme visits all schools across Taupō and provides 3 kids bike sessions per week at 3 different locations across the district. Families have the opportunity to come and learn to ride a bike using one of our bikes if required, or bring their own and just enjoy some friends and family time.
